BACKUP snereo

Post by scorpion »

I have taken backup of my machine on an external hard drive,
I created a tarball and than used gunzip to make a tar.gz
Now the backup is done in form of backup.tar.gz

Now the snereo is after a few days I need to take backup again
i.e incremental backup and I need that the already made archeive
backup.tar.gz is updated (incremented with the updated data), I am not sure howto do this.

1. stop using tar for this task
2. install rsync and rsnapshot
3. use rsnapshot.
