I have, with a lot of success. I've done
Linux PPTP Server <-> Linux PPTP Client
Linux PPTP Server <-> Win2kClient
Linksys VPN Router <-> Linux FreeS/WAN
Haven't tried CIPE yet, mostly because it's not a standard (only RH bundles it in it's distro AFAIK). PPTP is great if you have Windows clients (Windows IPSEC support sucks REALLY badly). I prefer IPSEC if you have non-Windows boxes on both ends, and both have real IPs (NAT breaks IPSEC).
