overheating problem

Post by gabriel_ameen »

dear friends,
i am running a system with intel pentium 4 3.0 ghz 800mhz fsb and 2mb l2 cache at LGA775. my only problem is that my processor temperature reaches upto 80 degree centigrade. I opened the heatsink and applied a very qualtiy thermal paste containing silver. but it still goes to 80 degrees which is 10 degrees more than the maximum temperature supported by the processor. what should i do?

Have you tried checking CPU fans? You can try replacing them.

Good power supply really helps in good performance
But for your Heating Problem(I had same prob with these specs)
Install Cooler Master Hyper48 Cooling Fan you can get it in Karachi
at Galaxy Computer in Uni Center for rates you can check http://www.galaxy.com.pk

It should solve your problem plus also tell me where did u got the paste and in how much ....
