Log Configuration

Dear All A.O.A,
i have 2 linux based os, on 1 system i have configured Redhat and on other CentOS, i want to see logs i.e authentication, mail etc. on my centos machine, what changed i need to show logs on my CentOS. Please also guide if i have cisco route , then what configuration i needed?? second should i use syslogd for loggin?? can i use other Log Utilities.

Salam,

I believe you can use tail command to check your logs. There is a good project which will do remote logging on another server.
