just of opinion, which radius & billing package is widely used in Pakistan by Service Provider?

e.g : freeradius & freeside

most of them are commercial.


i am testing icradius...
it is easier than others like freeradius and cistron (atleast in my point of view due to using mysql...simple...)

is it possible in icradius that i define a free slot?

let suppose i want a package for a user :

have 10 hours (done!)
can connect only between 8:00AM - 8:00 PM (done)

now :

Free Time slot between 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and no charges deducted??? How...???

the above procedure done by icradius itself.

if the solution gets through external script or accounting software then let me know a easier and reliable GPL product.

For that you need to create stored procedures in MySQL i have not much idea about that.

i am going to read your links after this msg

i was admiring that there will be a script for cron job that will stop accounting procedure for a certain time limit...

but logically it is not correct...coz if the accounting procedure stops then there will also no accounting for other packages??? rights???

i am farely new to radius ....

if you know any radius + prepaid billing package which use mysql and have a free time slot option then let me know...
