Announcement : Presentation GIMP vs Adobe Photoshop

Assalamualaikum,

As it was decided that this month I am supposed to give the presenation, there is a summary of that Presentation, I am still working/studying on that but these are some major points which I would disucss.

Topic : GIMP vs Adobe Photoshop (Graphics)

Open Source & Closed Source
Compatiblity with Photoshop
Intro to GIMP (tools, layers, channels)
Migrating to GIMP
Using GIMP as compare to Photoshop for the web.

The audience needs to know a little about Graphic software, different file formats etc. Beside that, we will give special attention to graphics for web.

I would look forward to hear/know any more points PLUCian wants me to bring.

Assalamualiqum to all,

PLUC's (Pakistan Linux User Community) monthly meeting was held at Tariq's place, Nazimabad. The meeting started at almost 3:00PM. It was a very special meeting as we know that it was our 1st Technical meeting in which Meraj Give us presentation about about GIMP Vs Adobe Photoshop so it was nice to see that anyone give us presentation about any topic related to Linux so lets see in the future we will get more presentation and also in that monthy meeting there are three members which was new so congratulation to BASIT & FAWAD becoz that is all about the article in Spider magazine so people are reading it and joining us more INSHALLAH.


Discussion

We discussed about the Seminar in Quetta becoz Mudassir's friend want to arrange a seminar in Quetta University so see when it will be finalized and becoz in that meeting some members are new so we discussed the introduction of LINUX in Deep becoz some new commers like to be with windows so that is why there is a fighting environment b/w Linux and windows but the result will be see in the next meeting becoz if that new commer will be in the next meeting then we will win other wise so lets seeee.
