does any one tried Urdu support in Fedora 7 ?
I tried the formal method but there's no XKB directory, & they've also change some directory structure !
Now how to enable Urdu support ?
The Urdu keyboard should be builtin (It's bundled with xorg). All you have to do is enable it. In KDE, you enable keyboard layouts in the Accessibility section of the Control Center.
fawad, have you seen that urdu ?
lol
you should check it out,
its like if you write "pakistan" in urdu its wriiten in all alphabets separately,
like "Pay alif Kaaf Seen Tay Alif Noon" !
it works like you saw up above: you type in the letters corresponding to the sounds, and it writes out the urdu letters corresponding to the same sounds. in some cases, you need to hit a capital letter or two letters (like "dh") to get the corresponding urdu letter.
hmm...
you know what, I just try RHEnt. 5, & urdu is working smooth without any extra efforts :/
I was thinkin to move to Fedora but Now I guess, I should stick with Enterprise relese.
but Thanx for your help !
