little more towards security

ASSALAM WALAIKUM......


how are you all.my question is very simple as we know many sitez has been block in pakistan,all i want to know is, the informaion about this restriction is it block by is or router,is there any way that we can find it out,but this blocked is can be access via porxy to by pass that restriction.if any one can help me out.kindly let know where this all stuff is on or how i can figure it out by my self.thank in advance,your kind help would be helpful for me.

thankz for your kind response.but my question is that how i can figured out that from where that site is being blocked is it from isp or any other router or what.if i want to check this so what measure steps are involve to find it out. i hope now your guyz got my point.for example lets make a small senerio for local lan using Using iptables.if i block my users to browse yahoo or hotmail rite when every they send request to server it will b denied rite.now the same thing how would i know from where my request is being denied by tracing out all the way .im using dialup is it from isp or other.your kind response would be helpful for me.thanks in advance guyz.

PTA directs the ISPs and ITI to block these sites. ISPs normally block at proxy level while ITI blocks TCP traffic to the site.
