If you want to do this using fiber optic then using 2 cores of your cable operator and you can do this by using media converters or switches with fiber optic channel.

Dear All,

Is there anyway that in a LAN scenario that user can only view multimedia files (Play video or audio). But should not be able to copy from network drive to local drive. Is there any way (Other than a streaming server) doing so in windows or linux.

While providing only ip address means you implementing acl on single ip while you providing a subnet then it means acl will be applied to whole range of that subnet!

Don't do that otherwise you can have alot of problems with that. One of them will be your bandwidth quota will exceed and you will need to pay more papers for more bandwidth...
