WHICH is the best book for starting redhat linux from scratch
and what u think which distro of linux is best

On the first part, pick any book that teaches you linux as there are pretty few and your choices will be limited. On the second part, i agree with what Farhan has said. I wish the same.

Read "Red Hat Linux 9 Bible" by Christopher Negus. Great book.

hey these people dont want to help so they want to delete this post the easiest way to find a good book for starting with any distro can be found on the linux documentation project they have got ebooks on kernal debugging programming newbee help anything you can think of a big database

Try getting and reading RHCE (Red Hat Certrified Engineer) Study Guide. It is an old one but a very good one.

And oh, by the way, ignore the 3l3375 ;)

There are so many books available..but very few in Pakistan.

Try what the others recommended...or if you can get hold of it...give

[PTG RedHat Cyber Interactive Classroom.]

a try.

It has an excellent complete book (+ an ebook) and complete 2-3 hours of excellent video training as well.

There are many other good books like Redhat Linux Unleased(kinda obsolete) Or Redhat linux bible(same again here) as well...but like i said very few availble in Pakistan.

Plus...new free versions of Redhat are now known as fedora...not Redhat 10..lol
