JVM Tuning on Linux

Post by Saadi »

Hi Folks --
ASAK

I am wondering if anyone out there with JVM tuning experience in Linux. currently we are experiencing bottleneck in throughput. We use SUn JDK/SDK 1.4.2 kit. Our developers are flagging and inserting tswitches and tweaks to get better performance.

we use:
rh 2.1 AS ibm xSeries machine
e.10enterprise compiled with P4 and /proc/PID/cmdline upto 4kb enabled
2 3.0 xeon cpus (4 w/ HT)
4gb RAM
Sun SDK/JDK 1.4.2
HT is on and also forced in kernel

Any help would greatly appreciated.

thanks!
