samba security

Post by smunir362 »

Hi,
I have configured samba 3 in Red Hat Linux EL 4.
I am using this shared folder for all users to access without password.
I set up guest ok. It runs well.

But I want that user should execute files only but should not be able to list or view the files/folders....
How can I do that...

have you tried making the directory unreadable? try chmod 711 on it, and make sure it's owned by root or some other user that can't access it using samba.
Watch out for the Manners Taliban!
Isn't it amazing how so many people can type "linuxpakistan.net" into their browsers but not "google.com"?
