OLd NIC IP doesn't change

Post by safdarmalik »

Assalam-o-Alekum all members,
1:- I m using Centos with kernel-2.4, 2 NICs builtin on M/Board, were running fine, then i needed to change IP of Eth0. I tried to change old ip so many times, it saves changes successfully, and apply new IP, when i tried to view through Ifconfig command. But the problem is that when I turn off OR restart my machine, OS applies old IP to NIC0 (Eth0) every time. I also tried to update configuration files related to Eth0 manually, but no fruitfull results.

2:- second problem that how to install RedHat Linux V.9 on a SATA Hard drive.

Check /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

Use Fedora/Centos.
