Using a Windows Mobile-based smart phone or PDA in Linux is easy as pie. In most cases you just have to connect the device through USB and start up SynCE. For phones that don't use a Microsoft operating system, such as my Motorola SLVR L7, applications like Moto4Lin and KMobileTools come in handy.

LiveMobileTools is a SLAX-based live GNU/Linux distribution preconfigured, with all the modules you need for Mobile Phones : Bluez, KDEBlueTooth, KMobileTools 0.5.0 beta3, everything already preconfigured to work like a charm!
Since it's based on Slax, you can use all modules you can find in their site.
With LiveMobileTools you can try out KMobileTools without having to touch your hard disk, without having to configure bluetooth stack, without caring about permissions.
In LiveMobileTools you will also find a few more support applications, like moto4lin for motorola phones filesystem, and Konversation, to directly join our IRC channel on freenode.

KMobileTools is a KDE-based application that allows to control mobile phones with your PC. It handles full SMS control, dialing calls, phonebook, and phone status monitoring. It can be embedd in Kontact, or import/export from and to KAddressBook. It has been tested on Motorola, Nokia, Siemens, Sony Ericsson and LG mobile phones. Anyway each AT Command compliant device should be well supported.

I still haven't got it to work
Its detecting the cellphone.
Loads the ipaq module.
device shows up as /dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyUSB1.
But Raki icon is in the menu, but still no activity.
may be i'm doing something wrong.
any ideas?
I want this working for KOS 1.0 update.
Any contributors?
