Linux Custom Solution

Post by syed »

A. A 2 All,

I have to confrim that can we make custom linux cd and create its ISO image and make it bootable CD for custom enviornment. Let suppose we have additional RPMs to install after linux installation, if we add those rpms to RPMs folder of first or any cd and make bootable cd ,will those rpms be installed when we install linux with customized linux cd.

Regards,

syed, that is exactly how almost all linux distributions work! they take pieces of software from other places, and put them together. now, as to whether you can add those rpms to your fc4 install cd and have it install them, well, that probably involves modifying a bunch of files to tell the system what to install (package list, etc.)

Yes ! simply re-master the Distro you want if you hav to do multiple install.

Hope this helps.
