Heh, true hacker attitude, not answering anything more than what is asked. :) Well, why don't you like linux?

I don't mean to start any argument or anything, just curious, why a(n) (apparent) linux guru don't like it.

I am quite sure there would be no problem with Jews using Ubuntu ME. As far as I have understood from a quick Google search, it is only called muslim edition because it comes pre-equipped with software targeted for muslims, e.g (taken from Saifuddin Al-Fulani's blog ): islamiccal : an Islamic calend...

I am not sure if there is complete urdu desktop yet, but you can install language-pack-ur and language-support-ur packages, I think both are in main repo, just run the following command:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install language-pack-ur language-support-ur

I was just curious and I thought he have only 2 systems. In that case copying is not much of a problem, though making NFS share would still be a better choice as it would save from duplication of data/waste of space :)

mfaisalkh, nice work, I haven't read your post thoroughly but there are few problems with it,

1. There is no gurantee that irfanbhatti is using /var/www/html as document root.
2. http://www.khan.com would not work, unless he first changes his hosts file, it is better to use http://localhost
